AI visibility checker
Find out if AI search can understand your website.
Use this free AI visibility checker to test any public page in about 60 seconds. See whether your brand, topics, and answers are clear enough for AI-powered search and assistants to understand, and get a short list of what to fix first.
What it checks
Four signals AI search looks for on your page.
AI assistants answer questions by drawing on pages they can access and interpret. This check reviews the parts of your page that make that easier, using the same engine as our free AI website audit.
Brand clarity
Is it obvious who you are, what you offer, and who you serve within the first few lines?
Topic signals
Do your title, H1, and headings all point to one clear subject instead of several?
Direct answers
Does the page answer real questions in plain sentences that make sense on their own?
Entity signals
Are your business name, services, locations, and structured data consistent and easy to identify?
AI visibility explained
What does AI visibility mean for a website?
AI visibility describes how often and how prominently a brand appears in AI-generated answers about its market. Part of that depends on your reputation across the web. Part of it depends on your own pages, and that part you can check and improve today.
What your website controls.
How clearly each page states its purpose, how well it answers the questions people ask, how consistently it describes your business, and whether crawlers can reach and read the content at all. These are the signals this tool reviews, because they are the ones you can change this week.
What your website doesn't control.
Mentions on other sites, reviews, press coverage, community discussions, and the way each AI system selects its sources. These matter too, but no page-level test can measure them. They are built over time through brand building, digital PR, and genuinely useful content.
Honest limits
What this check can and can't tell you.
A useful tool should be clear about its job. This one measures how ready a page is to be understood by AI-powered search. It does not report what any AI assistant is saying about you right now.
It can tell you
Whether the page clearly identifies your brand and topic, whether it contains direct answers, whether its headings and structure are easy to interpret, whether business details and structured data are present, and whether technical issues could stop crawlers from reading it. Every finding comes with a plain-language explanation.
It can't tell you
Whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, or any other assistant currently mentions or recommends your brand. Answers change by question, model, and date, so that needs ongoing tracking rather than a one-time test. Agencies that need it can use Marvlus AI mention tracking.
How it works
Check your AI visibility in three steps.
No account, no plugin, and no code to install. Start with the page that matters most to your business.
- 01
Enter a page
Paste any public URL. Your homepage is a good start, followed by your most important service or product page.
- 02
We review the signals
The audit reads the page and checks brand, topic, answer, entity, content, SEO, and technical signals, then scores the results.
- 03
Fix the gaps
See which signals are strong, which need attention, and what to change first to make the page easier to understand.
Every signal we review
AI readiness, plus the SEO basics underneath it.
AI-powered search still depends on pages that can be crawled and interpreted. That is why each check covers traditional SEO and technical signals alongside the newer answer-readiness signals.

Improve your results
Six ways to make a page easier for AI to understand.
Most improvements are simple editing work. They also make the page better for people, which is the point: a page that is clear to a visitor is usually clear to a machine as well. For a broader generative engine optimization review, run a GEO audit.
Say who you are early.
State your business name, what you do, and who you serve in the opening lines. Visitors and AI systems should not have to scroll to work out what the page is about or which company is behind it.
Answer questions in one or two sentences.
Write the answer first, then the detail. A short, direct sentence that makes sense on its own is easier to understand, easier to quote, and easier for a busy reader to scan.
Use headings that describe the content.
Replace vague headings like “Our approach” with descriptive ones like “How long a website migration takes.” Descriptive headings act as signposts for both readers and machines.
Keep business details consistent.
Use the same business name, address, phone number, and service names across your site and your profiles elsewhere. Inconsistent details make it harder to connect information to a single entity.
Add structured data that matches the page.
Organization, LocalBusiness, Product, Article, and FAQ schema can describe the page in a machine-readable format. Only mark up information that is actually visible on the page.
Make sure crawlers can reach it.
Check that robots.txt is not blocking the search and AI crawlers you want, and that key content does not depend entirely on JavaScript to appear. Content a crawler cannot read cannot be used.
Clear, specific findings
See exactly which signals are working.
Every check produces a score and a list of individual findings. Strong signals are confirmed so you leave them alone. Weak signals come with a short explanation of what to change.

What AI search rewards
Clear pages are easier to understand and easier to cite.
There is no special markup that makes a page appear in AI answers. The pages that tend to be understood well share the same qualities as pages that serve people well.

- Descriptive headings
- Consistent entities

Frequently asked questions
AI visibility check FAQs
What does an AI visibility checker do?
It reviews a webpage for signals that help AI-powered search and assistants understand it: brand clarity, topic focus, direct answers, entity signals, structure, and technical access. It then reports which signals are strong and which need work.
Is this check free?
Yes. You can check a page and review the findings without paying or entering a credit card.
Will it show me whether ChatGPT mentions my brand?
No. This tool measures how ready your page is to be understood, not what any assistant currently says. AI answers vary by question, model, and date, so mentions need ongoing tracking. Agencies can track mentions with Marvlus.
How is this different from the free AI website audit?
It runs the same audit engine as our free AI website audit. This page focuses on explaining the AI visibility side of the results and how to improve it.
Which AI tools does this apply to?
The signals it reviews, such as clarity, direct answers, and crawlable content, are general principles that help any system interpret a page. It does not test against one specific assistant.
Do AI crawlers need access to my site?
If you want AI-powered search tools to use your content, their crawlers generally need to be able to reach it. Review your robots.txt file to confirm you are not blocking crawlers you want to allow.
What is the fastest way to improve my results?
Clarify the opening of the page so it states who you are and what the page covers, then add short, direct answers to the questions your customers ask most often. The AI website audit checklist covers the rest.
Do I need structured data?
It is not required, but relevant schema can make key details like your organization, products, and FAQs easier to interpret. Only mark up content that is visible on the page.
How long does a check take?
Most checks finish in about a minute, depending on the page.
Does it check my whole website?
No. It checks the single page you submit. Run it on each important page separately, since AI readiness is often page-specific.
How often should I check a page?
After meaningful edits to the page, and periodically for the pages that matter most to your business.
Can a good result guarantee AI assistants will recommend me?
No. No tool can guarantee how an AI system will respond. A strong result means your page is clearer and easier to understand, which is the part you control.
Does traditional SEO still matter?
Yes. Pages still need to be crawlable, indexable, and well structured. That is why every check includes SEO and technical signals as well as AI readiness. For an SEO-first review, run the free SEO website audit.
